I read Tito's post, and I immediately had 100 videos I wanted to put up so I twerked Adrock until I got an invite. I've been digging deep into funk/soul/disco/gheri-jams for a few years now, and there is an endless supply of tunage to find out there. I'm gonna start out with some great soul jams with an early early early Curtis Mayfield cut, which if you don't have a Curtis collection yet you are doing yourself wrong.

i love me some curtis. those pictures they show in the youtube are priceless.
when i played the detroit emeralds song, the lady next to me at work, who grew up on the norf side, kept saying, "dat george benson?" i kept saying no. she kept insisting, "oh he grooves jus like dat."
"Reunited and it feels so gooood." Peaches and Herb anyone? Happy we can share the funk again.
Oh man, if I'm envisioning that exchange correctly, it sounds hilarious.
